This is your SolarWakeup for October 8th, 2013

AB 327 is now law in CA, let the CPUC wrangling commence (in case you think it hasn’t already).  Now the discussions continue in other States including how energy storage will impact net metering/interconnection.  At some point the conversation will be about the utility business model and its adaptation.

Happy Birthday to the quiet partner of SolarWakeup.com, my wife, who enjoys my take on the solar news every day of the week.  The rundown could not happen without her!

The focus of our news coverage is the US but sometimes news come out of other markets that may give our markets a look into the future.  An interesting view at what is happening to Australian utilities with regard to the decrease of baseload.  Of course, we have already seen the impacts of distributed generation and efficiency here but the future will continue the trend in a hockey stick trend.
