Wakeup Thoughts: The solar industry has a funny effect on those around us, almost as if it is contagious.  Very often I am forwarded articles from friends or family.  Tonight, I received one from a colleague’s wife; which was great in the fact that not only does it show how we are affecting others but the relevance of the article made it the top of the ‘fold’.  Enjoy your weekend!

Wakeup Thoughts: Seeing the news about Hanergy’s completed purchase of MiaSole reminds of me of a call I was on with a large VC behind MiaSole 4-5 years ago.  “We are sold out for the next two years” was the message from the VC.  Another case of Brag-a-watts gone wrong, maybe another lesson for solar pros.

Wakeup Thoughts: It seems the we can add crowdsourcing to the funds used for solar project finance.  Mosaic announced yesterday that the first three projects they published have been funded within 24 hours.  Congratulations again to the team and everyone around the sector coming up with new and innovative financing mechanisms.
