This is your SolarWakeup for January 15th, 2014

Take a moment to read Vinod Khosla’s response to 60 Minutes.  I often get asked why I link to articles that are anti-solar and/or blatantly false.  The reason is that, as an industry, we need to respond with facts and counter arguments.  You can’t let the naysayers win, and Khosla is clearly not laying down after the CBS coverage of the Cleantech ‘Crash’.  Another SolarWakeup original story below as well, let me know your thoughts.

This is your SolarWakeup for January 14th, 2014

4 year ago, a couple of Ex-Apple employees decided to create a thermostat, yesterday they sell Nest for $3.2Billion to Google.  Solar has similar stories that will become more common.  I have a particular affinity for solar startups.  One reason is that my “day-job” is a solar startup and another is that it is extremely rewarding to help people with really good ideas.  Check out a fellow DoE SunShot award winner, Folsom Labs.  A great tool for anyone that sells, installs, develops solar.  –>Link on the right!
